Kellie
Kellie Oxford
Director
Kellie has worked as a professional graphic designer both in Australia and in the UK since graduating from Queensland College of Art in 1992. She has worked for advertising agencies, publishing houses and design studios. In this time she has won two National Awards for Excellence in Design and her work has been displayed in graphic design exhibits around the country. As well as bringing extensive design expertise to Oblong, Kellie keeps the studio running smoothly and ensures production schedules are on time and clients’ needs are fully met.
Tim
Tim Smith
Director
Tim is the co-founder of Oblong + Sons and has over 20 years experience in the creative industries sector. He is a qualified graphic designer (Bachelor of Arts, Graphic Design) and has worked in design studios in Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane. His extensive design experience includes branding, print design, signage, packaging and web design. As well as being an accomplished designer, Tim has an affinity with the technical aspects of the industry such as specialty production techniques, print application and integration of different professional disciplines towards a common goal.
Emma
Emma Harrison
Designer + Marketing Coordinator
Emma joined Oblong after completing her Graphic Design studies at Enmore Design Centre (Sydney) and Southbank Institute (Brisbane). She has also acquired a Bachelor of Fine Arts (QUT) and has spent many a night on stage as an actor. Her passion for the arts feeds into her creativity as a designer creating thought-provoking and symbolic design laden with meaning. Emma also has a great deal of sales and marketing experience and is part of the marketing team at Oblong, helping to liaise with clients and assisting in the smooth sailing, friendly approach of the ‘blong.
Gem
Gemma Copeland
Designer
Gemma has been working with Oblong since 2009. Her love of learning and dedication to all things design makes her an invaluable member of the team. She is unwavering in her pursuit of elegant and thoughtful design, and has a particular interest in the crossover between design and sustainability.
Leon
Leon Poole
Front end developer + web expert
Leon has been working with Oblong since early 2011. He is passionate about all forms of design and usability and his enthusiasm for the ultimate ‘user experience’ makes for an endless, tireless search into the best, most efficient methods available to create highly intuitive user interfaces.His very first website was built in 1997 and since then he has enjoyed roles in web design, web app development, online marketing, social media and SEO. He is constantly researching emerging web technologies and takes pride in maintaining web standards.
Leon is actively involved in Brisbane’s IT community and has been a co-organiser of the Brisbane Web Design meet-up group since 2006.
